Master of Science in Nursing program objectives

Upon completion of the program, the student should be able to:

Synthesize and apply theories, models, and research related to nursing education and health systems.
Demonstrate critical thinking and holistic caring as an advanced practice nurse.
Synthesize ethical principles into the education, management, and evaluation of health care delivery concerns in culturally diverse care settings.
Develop and implement innovative strategies and plans to guide an organization or health care system toward successful outcomes.
Demonstrate expertise in culturally sensitive therapeutic nursing management and education.
Demonstrate self-discipline, responsibility, leadership, accountability, motivation, creative thinking, and problem solving in the analysis of nursing problems and in the development of the nurse educator and manager role.
Effectively lead and manage successful change projects in nursing education collaborating with nursing mentors and leaders.
