  • Work as health services managers, health care facility administrators, health care management, administrators, clinical managers, or health information managers.
  • Become case managers and consultants.

Employers such as hospitals, insurance companies, pharmaceutical manufacturers, and managed care organizations need nurse managers for a wide range of positions. These include departmental and organizational administration, health planning and development, marketing, consulting, policy development, and quality assurance. Others work as college and university faculty or conduct research.
