General Description

This is a sales and goal oriented position involved with lead generation of prospective students within the corporate market. Position is responsible for building partner relationships with large corporations that meet our ideal client criteria. The ideal client will be a large employer or association that uses Tuition Assistance to improve employee skills and aligns with our degree programs. Additionally, there will be a strong focus on the Healthcare market.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop trusted relationships with organizational decision makers to position Herzing University Online as a preferred educational provider
  • Call on executive and C-level decision makers in Human Resources and/or Learning Development Departments to secure relationships
  • Meet and exceed goals including partnership agreements, monthly individual student lead generation and enrollment goals (exact plan will be established and communicated prior to hiring)
  • Meet and exceed monthly individual conversion goals
  • Develop a territory sales plan that ensures all assigned goals are met
  • Generate sufficient sales activity to meet assigned goals, including but not limited to sales prospecting (online, email, direct mail), clients meetings, sales proposals, RFP's, formal and informal sales presentations
  • Seek out, participate in, and generate ongoing interest in the University through partnerships and leads during education fairs, learning events, and career fairs
  • Attend key industry events and stay abreast of key issues, legislation that impact the market and competitive positioning

OTHER DUTIES:

  • Maintain a current and accurate knowledge of all program offerings, policies and procedures
  • Volunteer and pursue improvements in all departmental efforts
  • Attend all required departmental and university meetings when necessary
  • Assist with departmental duties as assigned
  • Provide a weekly metric report to Director of Business Development

Requirements

  1. Goal oriented personality: persistent, determined, positive, professional
  2. Consultative sales experience should include working with executive and C-level decision makers in complex environments using solution-selling techniques
  3. Excellent oral and written communication skills
  4. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  5. Working knowledge of CRM systems
  6. Position requires extensive phone and computer usage
  7. Must be able to travel 40% of the time
  8. Availability must include regularly scheduled weekdays between 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM local time
  9. Some weekend hours may be required

Reporting

This position will report to the Director of Business Development

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, see and hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, grasp, handle or touch objects, as well as type on a computer keyboard. The employee will be required to sit in front of a desk and move around the office. The employee will have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
