General Description

This is a sales and goal oriented position involved with lead generation of prospective students within the greater military community; including active duty, veteran, and public safety communities. Position is geared toward the development of solid and long-term relationships with military bases, government agencies, and veteran’s service and public safety organizations.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop working trusted relationship with educational gatekeepers, including but not limited to Education Service Officers (ESO’s) and staff at key military installations
  • Meet and exceed monthly individual student lead generation and enrollment goals. Exact plan will be established and communicated via separate documents.
  • Meet and exceed monthly individual conversion goals
  • Attend and drive regular meetings with key constituents at military installations
  • Work toward obtaining “office hours” where military students and candidates can visit a Herzing representative on base at specific times each month
  • Identify target opportunities to partner with military installations in an MOU or MOA (Examples: Lunch & Learn seminars, teach on base, enrollment center)
  • Attend military base and other education/career fairs
  • Work with local government and public safety agencies to represent Herzing; to build lasting partnerships, which will establish recurring lead generating channels
  • Identify, develop and implement sales and marketing campaigns to target markets; that include, but are not limited to direct mail, data base marketing, and social media techniques

OTHER DUTIES:

  • Maintain a current and accurate knowledge of all program offerings, policies and procedures
  • Volunteer and pursue improvements in all departmental efforts
  • Attend all required departmental and university meetings when necessary
  • Assist with departmental duties as assigned
  • Provide a weekly metric report to Director of Business Development

Requirements

  1. Goal oriented personality: persistent, determined, positive, professional
  2. Consultative sales experience should include working with executive and C-level decision makers in complex environments using solution-selling techniques
  3. Excellent oral and written communication skills
  4. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  5. Working knowledge of CRM systems
  6. Position requires extensive travel and phone and computer usage
  7. Availability must include regularly scheduled weekdays between 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM local time
  8. Some weekend hours may be required

This position will report to the Director of Business Development

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, see and hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, grasp, handle or touch objects, as well as type on a computer keyboard. The employee will be required to sit in front of a desk and move around the office. The employee will have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
