General Description
This is a sales and goal oriented position involved with lead generation of prospective students within the post-secondary education community. Position is geared toward the development of solid and long-term relationships with community colleges, including vocational/technical colleges, Tribal Colleges and affiliated education based organizations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop trusted relationships with educational gatekeepers, including but not limited to Deans, Curriculum Coordinators, Transfer Student Coordinators and Faculty members
- Meet and exceed monthly individual student lead generation and enrollment goals (exact plan will be established and communicated upon hiring)
- Meet and exceed monthly individual conversion goals
- Attend and drive regular meetings with key constituents at community colleges
- Work toward obtaining “office hours” where students and candidates can visit a Herzing representative at their current educational institution during specific times each month
- Identify target opportunities to partner with educational institutions in an Alliance Agreement
- Attend community college transfer fairs and other education/career fairs
- Requires shipping and set up of Herzing University marketing materials
- When feasible facilitate the development of a Transfer Guide for all community college relationships
- Attend promotional events such as state and local education conventions - Attend other Business Development events as needed
- Identify, develop and implement sales and marketing campaigns to target markets that include, but are not limited to, direct mail, data base marketing, and social media techniques
OTHER DUTIES:
- Maintain a current and accurate knowledge of all program offerings, policies and procedures
- Volunteer and pursue improvements in all departmental efforts
- Attend all required departmental and university meetings when necessary
- Assist with departmental duties as assigned
- Provide a weekly metric report to Director of Post Secondary Recruitment
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
- Prefer to have experience working in post-secondary institution setting
- Must have practical understanding of secondary educational and post-secondary institutions, education reform and accompanying movements
- Goal oriented personality: persistent, determined, positive, professional
- Consultative sales experience should include working with healthcare decision makers in complex environments using solution-selling techniques
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- Working knowledge of CRM systems
- Position requires extensive phone and computer usage, and travel
- Position requires employee to hold a valid state drivers license, maintain a driving record in good standing, and provide consistent/reliable self transportation
- Employee maintains good personal credit rating and holds a personal credit card for incidental use available for reimbursement
- Availability must include regularly scheduled weekdays between 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM local time
- Some weekend hours may be required
Reporting
The employee reports to the Director of Post-Secondary Recruitment.
Other
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, see and hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, grasp, handle or touch objects, as well as type on a computer keyboard. The employee will be required to sit in front of a desk and move around the office. The employee will have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
