Herzing University Online in Wisconsin Goes Purple!
No, it’s not that team from north of the Wisconsin border. Herzing University Online campus in Milwaukee dressed in Purple on Friday to raise awareness of epilepsy.
According to PupleDay.org Friday March 26th is international Purple Day. Founded in 2008 by nine-year-old Cassidy Megan of Nova Scotia, Canada, with the help of the Epilepsy Association of Nova Scotia, Purple Day is an international grassroots effort dedicated to increasing awareness about epilepsy worldwide.
With over 50 million people affected worldwide, Herzing University Online decided to Go Purple in support of the many students and their families impacted by epilepsy across the world. As an international provider of quality higher education degrees, Herzing faculty and staff understand the importance of education.
Campus President, Dr. Todd Rickel noted at the event, “Herzing faculty and staff are some of the most passionate and caring people I have ever met. They go the extra mile for our students and this event was a fun way to spread the word about epilepsy and do what we do best every day - educate students and our community.”
