Graphic Design - Herzing University Online Programs
The Herzing University Graphic Design programs instruct students how to visually convey a message or idea to the target audience, prompting them to take the desired action. To do this effectively, the basic elements of design must be utilized. Courses are taught using industry-standard software (Adobe Creative Suite) and include courses on peripheral skills such as drawing and photography. As part of the program, students will create examples of their work suitable for inclusion in a professional portfolio in order to showcase their strengths and talents to potential employers. Each program incorporates the required core courses for successful entry into this field and adds additional courses as required by the level of education the student pursues.

Associate of Science in Graphic Design
Students pursuing the Associate Degree will gain the fundamental understanding of graphic design—how to identify and resonate with the target audience and what makes one design ‘work’ in effectively communicating with that audience while an almost identical design fails . Primary focus is on design for print, however some web design courses are included. This degree rolls directly into the Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design and the Bachelor of Science in Technology Management with No Declared Minor or Concentration.

Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design - No Declared Concentration
The Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design With No Declared Concentration degree employs an integrated and coherent approach that prepares students with the necessary academic knowledge and technical competencies required for a wide range of positions in graphic arts. The curriculum is focused on designing and producing work for print, the World Wide Web, television, cinema, multimedia, and digital entertainment. This degree enables students to specialize in topics appropriate for an entry-level position in interactive and graphic arts.

Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design - Concentration in Print Design
The Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design With a Concentration in Print Design degree focuses on the nuances of print design for a wide variety of media, including printed 3D and exhibition materials. Students will also gain skills in web site design and creation. Graduates of this program will be prepared for entry-level careers in both print and web design.
