Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies

The Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies offers instruction in over nearly a dozen specialty areas of law. Other topics include ethics and professionalism in the legal field, advanced legal research, management training, and core business courses to help the student understand what motivates businesses to act in certain way.

Graduates of this program will be able to draft legal documents and contracts. They will also be prepared to articulate law practices in a variety of legal settings where legal professionals work, including small and large private firms, corporations, and governmental agencies.

This degree is ideal for those looking to work in the legal assisting/paralegal field, supervise other legal department employees, or continue on to law school for a Juris Doctor (JD) degree (also known as Juris Doctorate).

Potential entry-level and management training position titles include account representative, legal assistant, paralegal, client services representative, office manager, law office administrator, or paralegal manager.
