Medical Assistants need to understand the general operations of a health care office as well as the basics of patient care. To properly prepare Herzing graduates for entry into this field, the Medical Assisting curriculum at Herzing College Online includes courses in medical business and medical science (including clinical labs), and an internship to gain valuable hands-on experience in the field. In addition, the Program Review and Career Development courses guide students through the transition from student to professional in the health care field.
