Some websites will build a profile for identifying scholarships based on unique characteristics and send updates on scholarships matching the exact profile.  These are websites like FastWeb.com.  This is a great matching website to start with because it offers a site that is updated on a daily basis with new scholarship opportunities.  FastWeb is the website that Herzing suggests students use to locate scholarships fitting their unique backgrounds.

Minority Scholarships

Scholarships are built around unique personal characteristics. Minority groups and underrepresented groups comprise a large portion of the scholarship opportunities that are available to students.

Military Scholarships

Men and women of the armed forces and their immediate families have an opportunity to utilize their military affiliation to obtain scholarships.  If you or someone in your family are a member of the military then use this relationship to support your education.  Keep in mind that these opportunities are in addition to the Post 9/11 GI Bill, Chapter 30 benefits, and other military educational support.

Adult Learner Scholarships

Herzing supports students from all walks of life.  Students returning to school after a period of absence should apply for scholarships available to Adult Learners.

Corporate Scholarships

Businesses often have scholarships available to any student attending an accredited higher education institution.  Here are two examples, but there are many other corporate scholarships available to students.  Search your favorite companies’ websites to see what scholarships are available.

Certain scholarships will require very little in order to qualify.  Just enter your information and write a short essay.
